FAQ’s

Where do we start? Hemp contains many of the natural ingredients that animals need for a healthy and balanced diet. Omega 3, omega 6 and the full amino acid profile including all essential amino acids, plus vitamins and minerals. However, Hemp Boost products should only be used as a supplement to your pet’s everyday balanced diet, and if you have any concerns about your pet’s health, consult a veterinarian.

It’s fairly well known that regular intake of hemp seed oil helps to relieve the symptoms of arthritis in both humans and pets. Hemp contains a natural anti-inflammatory called GLA (gamma-linoleic acid) which is responsible for relief of joint pain including arthritis. For the best effect, you need to supplement your pet’s daily diet with hemp seed oil every day at the recommended dosage rate.

Hemp oil has been well known for hundreds of years as a treatment for many skin conditions, and it’s a great skin moisturizer. Most itchyness is caused by inflammation. Hemp seed oil contains a natural anti-inflammatory called GLA (gamma-linoleic acid) which has a great soothing effect for itchy skin and other inflammations like joint pain, muscle pain and arthritis. It enhances the skin’s ability to resist viral, fungal, and bacterial infections. A healthy skin is more resistant to flea infestations in dogs and cats.

Absolutely safe. Our hemp supplements contain virtually zero THC and CBD, so there are no psychoactive effects on even the smallest pets.

Hemp, cannabis and marijuana (the nic-name for cannabis) are the same plant species (Cannabis Sativa), but they are different varieties which have been bred for different purposes. The main difference is that marijuana contains high THC levels, and the hemp we grow has almost zero THC content. Think of it like two brothers from the same family – one is a ratbag getting kicked out of school and the other is a straight A student.

CBD oil and hemp seed oil are both produced from the hemp plant Cannabis sativa. The CBD oil is made from the leaves, stalks and buds; the hemp seed oil (which is what we make) comes from the seeds and contains no CBD. The hemp plant used for CBD oil production is cultivated to produce high concentrations of CBD for medicinal purposes. CBD is a non-addictive therapeutic drug typically used for pain relief and treatment of anxiety. The laws around CBD oil in Australia can make it very difficult to access, but our hemp seed oil is perfectly legal for everyone to enjoy and is freely available and good for pets.

Probably not. Our Hemp Boost products do not contain any CBD, which is the non-addictive drug responsible for reducing anxiety in humans and pets.

Most Hemp Boost supplements (except Hemp Hound – Premium) are by-products from our hemp seed and hemp oil processing operations. They are still pure, natural and food-grade quality, and we don’t rely on any other businesses to provide our ingredients. You are buying as direct as you can!
